Hi, I'm Matt.
I live in Santa Cristina d'Aro, with my dogs, in the place that is that inspires me and this brand. Rolling hills covered in oak and pine forests, rocky coastline and wild beaches. It's scattered with wildlife, limestone and evidence of ancient people. Life runs slower here.
I've used cannabis for my own wellbeing for years. It helps me stay focused, stay calm, and function better. But I really came to understand the benefits while my late wife was going through chemotherapy. The side effects were relentless, and cannabis was one of the few things that gave her real relief. I made her gummies, infused oils, butter, edibles, whatever I could to help her get through it.
That experience changed something. I went from someone who appreciated cannabis to someone who needed to understand it. I started reading the researching clinical studies, pharmacokinetic data, mechanism-of-action papers. I wanted to know exactly why certain cannabinoids helped with certain things, and at what doses.
But I found the same problems everywhere: products that led with "CBD" as a buzzword. No usage guidance or clinically-backed dosing. Rarely paired with complimentary ingredients to achieve a specific function. No batch-specific lab results. No transparency about where anything came from or who made it. No education, no giving back. Seemingly just a profit-grab.
I built Gavarres to be the opposite of that.

How we work
A better way of doing business.
Approach
Evidence-backed.
We start with a function, not an ingredient. Then we select compounds where published research documents a reproducible mechanism of action for that function, at effective doses.
The base is a full-spectrum hemp extract, because research on the entourage effect suggests whole-plant cannabinoid profiles may offer advantages over isolates.
Our Sleep formula is a good example. Rather than adding CBD and calling it a sleep product, we combine three compounds, each studied for a different aspect of the sleep process: CBD for mental calming, CBN for less wake ups, and melatonin for sleep onset.
Nothing goes into a formula without evidence we can point you to.
Supply chain
Transparency is trust.
Production: Reakiro. GMP/HACCP/GHP-certified EU facilities. They handle cultivation, extraction and manufacturing, with full seed-to-product traceability.
Testing: Mérieux NutriSciences. Independent third-party lab network, ISO 17025-accredited. Every batch tested for cannabinoid profile, active ingredient content, heavy metals, and microbiology. Batch-specific COAs published for every product.
Compliance: Formulated and manufactured within the EU regulatory framework for food supplements. Our products are food supplements, not medicines, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
